The only fat I’ve eaten for decades is butter and ghee, and the fat in whole milk, nuts, etc. I do not touch vegetable oils. Read about it years ago. Grass fed some of it, depends on where I buy. Can’t afford ultra pricey.

That’s some weird mumbo jumbo right thar. You can let your cow graze on grass for half a year. Then you need to make up the difference in winter with some alfalfa, silage, etc. In both time periods you need to throw in a handful of grain, ground corn and the like or you will not get butterfat from Bossy. If you don’t add the grain stuff you’ll get skim milk and that is not even saleable and you’ll never make butter out of it. While it’s true enough that milk producers let their cows graze on grass, there is nobleeping way that’s all they feed them, especially if they want to sell their milk.

I well remember some of my own family dairy farmers who wouldn’t even make their own butter, choosing instead to leave the butterfat in the raw milk to keep their sale price up.
