A Georgia real estate agent has filed a “cancel culture” lawsuit against LGBTQ+ activists she says have repeatedly used false claims to prevent her from earning a living in her field.
On Tuesday, Julie Mauck, a real estate agent in Oconee County, Georgia, filed a lawsuit funded by the Coalition for Liberty against Athens Pride and Queer Collective, its leader Danielle Carmella Bonanno, and Fiona Bell (a.k.a. Felix Bell).
According to a copy of the complaint provided to CNSNews, the lawsuit alleges that the activists engaged in a “cancel culture” campaign to prevent Mauck from earning a living and to distort and silence her objection to a local library providing children with unfettered access to sexual, adult-themed books.
The lawsuit contends that the LGBTQ activists willfully spread falsehoods and misrepresentations to silence Mauck and deprive her of employment, in violation of Georgia law:
“This Complaint alleges against Defendant ATHENS PRIDE, INC. d/b/a ATHENS PRIDE& QUEER COLLECTIVE and Defendant DANIELLE CARMELLA BONANNO a violation of Georgia’s Uniform Deceptive Trade Practices Act.”
According to the lawsuit, the activists began targeting Mauck in July 2023, in retaliation to Mauck’s comments at a library meeting:
“On July 10, 2023, Mrs. Mauck attended a meeting of the Oconee County Public Library Board of Trustees in Oconee County, at which the Board of Trustees was scheduled to consider whether to move a graphic novel called ‘Flamer’ from the children’s section of the library to the adult section of the library in recognition of the obvious adult-themed content of the book that would require parental consent for child access.”
Despite clear video evidence to the contrary, the activists repeatedly claimed that Mauck had called all LGBTQ individuals pedophiles, causing her to lose her job at one broker, and then to smear her after she was accepted by a new broker,
Additionally, Fiona Bell (a.k.a.) Felix Bell) filed an ethics complaint with the Georgia Association of REALTORS®, again falsely claiming Mauck had called all LGBTQ individuals pedophiles.
The LGBTQ activists persisted in using the false claim to smear Mauck even after they she was cleared of any wrongdoing or realtor association ethics violations, the lawsuit says.
The case is part of a broad, national effort to protect victims of “cancel culture,” a Coalition For Liberty press release explains:
“The Coalition For Liberty is launching an all-out nationwide assault on those who engage in this vicious behavior.”

“No longer will people or organizations be able to engage in this behavior without severe consequences. It is only by holding people accountable for such vile actions that the practice of cancel culture will ever stop.
“Without the threat of cancel culture, people will once again be empowered to say what they think. Imagine a world where people are free to engage in free speech without risking attacks by radicals bent on intimidating anyone who disagrees with them.”
I think they’re having a fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago on 7/8 to address this issue, aren’t they?
It is becoming ever more obvious why respecting the Constitution is absolutely essential if we are to be a free and prosperous nation.

THANKFULLY these kinds of libraries only exist in Blue Cities, and in Blue States. I cannot imagine any small-town or red state EVER allowing what is essentially an adult book store to provide these types of materials to little kids.

Athens, Ga. Has got lots of male and female same sexers. Most of the B-52s. B Sipe of REM. Same sexers from all over Georgia moved to Athens because of the live and let live attitude. And now it looks like Facist same sexers. Not tolerating and not telling the truth. Typical of the demcommierats.

Oconee county voted about 75-80% for Trump in 2020. These nasty alphabet types are still there doing alphabet things.
Oconee county is not Athens. That’s Clarke county.
Athens Queer Collective is Athens. If the trial is in Athens, the Queers will probaby win. Oconee county, the real estate lady will hopefully win.
And to review; Clarke County and Athens merged in the early 1970’s and Athens High School changed its name to Clarke Central. Kim Basinger Graduated from that school in 1971. The Athens Pride and Queer Coalition is in Athens.
It is...but there are plenty of people here who live in nice red areas and actually think they have any control over their public schools!
