The tide has started to recede. The word has gone out from the West, we’re tired of bankrolling this charade. It has served its purpose but it’s costing too much financially and politically. Look at the EU countries going to the right in their elections. Time to negotiate.

SECDEF called his Russian counterpart - first contact by Biden Admin since election nite. Find the story on YouTube or elsewhere.

Also, Russian aircraft immediately lifted off for New York after call.

Thins are moving fast. Ukrainian Aide to Zenlinski fanned flames with comments.

Threats from Russia prompted call.

Serious military discussions with US trying to avoid Revenge attack.

Cooler heads have prevailed. Austin going rouge? Biden can maintain his white house ban on talking with Russia.

It doesn’t say anything honorable or responsible about politicians who have to be driven into peace negotiations by their citizenry. At least the citizenry retain an element of common sense. Unfortunately, Ukraine has been destroyed and thousands of Ukrainians are dead over politicians who just refused to negotiate with Putin.
