Battlestar Galactica was my favorite Sci-Fi series of all time. I did watch Babylon 5 but grew to hate it.
Battlestar Galactica was family. It was love. It was immense courage. They encountered The Lord God’s holy angels in the constant fight against Satan, in which a fallen angel was revealed. Apollo was healed, and unbeknownst to all aboard Galactica and the fleet of ships, on Earth…
The Apollo Moon Landing was in progress.
In 1980, though many galactic years translated or yahrin later, Battleship Galactica arrived and the last generation of ship borne children set foot on Earth along with Apollo’s son “Boxey” and accompany. What became of Starbuck on the desolate planet he was marooned, though he and a Cylon built a ship to bring a woman and her newborn child (Dr. Z) to Galactica, was not followed to any hopeful conclusion.
Perhaps he was picked up by a passing quasi - Corellian freighter, Falcon-class, whose young pilot just happened to notice, along with his Wookie companion, a distress beacon. Whisked away to meet a gambler by the name of Lando Calrissian and lived happily the after with a wife and kids to then help The Republic defeat their own horrific evil, The Empire.
After dealing with Cylons, he brushed the clueless Stormtroopers aside like dry stands of corn. He liked the X-Wing fighters and he liked Luke. But Starbuck snatched young Ben away from the clutches of a reprobate cult and told him of
The Merciful, Almighty God.
Who saved Galactica. Who saved Apollo. Who saved The Republic. Who saved Starbuck. Who saved Ben. Who married Jen and lived on a moisture farm on Tattooine. Where Apollo liked to visit with Ben and their kids played while their wives cooked powlie-bok stew and roasted Kraat dragon steaks.
The End.
Look, I’m sorry. The misspelling. I’ll just watch videos of cats doing parkour and funny cats and dogs and laugh with my beloved over our own silliness and funny things we do that crack us up and know that Jesus is having a good laugh and loving watching us just marvel at His Creation and Blessings over our lives and our five rescued Kittehs.
I was left un-phased!
