I have owned a strip center with a gym tenant.

Without fail, the claims they got were all treadmill related. Apparently it’s the most dangerous piece of equipment in the gym, mainly because it’s moving of its own accord and what rank amatuers like to use.

As a rough rule of thumb 3 stories up will kill you depending on the surface you impact and some other factors. 2 can be survivable 1 usually is.

Never did trust those things. Running outdoors, no problem. Fresh air, sunshine, birds chirping, traffic humming. Always something interesting goin on. Time flies.

The dreadmill requires music to move. So all of this time the scheme for the music was to *block* sound, like the screams of fellow gym-goers as they plummet to their deaths.

Now we know.

That was my first thought. Somebody fell out of a window and died. Are we now to cast judgement, and call her a ‘fanatic’? Who cares what her habits were before the fatal accident?
An out of shape Flabberino couch potato would have been just as dead after being dumped from that height.
