Her “music” is not any good at all, and she has no basis for being in the political arena!!
Actually, that is NOT true.
Rick Beato (YouTube Channel) exposed her as a fake who has other songwriters write her simplistic songs and she takes credit.
Additionally, Joni Mitchell's songs has quite complex chords and she recruited top jazz musicians to play her music in the studio recordings and live concerts.
Further, Joni's lyric's are waaaay beyond TS in substance & complexity.
Only a low IQ idiot would even mention TS in the same sentence as Joni Mitchell

I spent a bit of time wading through her song catalog to get some education. I’ve a musician and composer although I am a bit of dinosaur.
But I understand how Madonna got where she is. Madonna writes catchy music AND lyrics and came up a new style that is her and recognizable. So did Michael Jackson. Singer/musician/composer. Whether one likes their sort of thing or not there is no denying they were huge global successes and lasted for a long time - not flashes in the pan.
Taylor builds on Indie music with simple mediocre songs and her contribution seems to be focused on the lyrics and then collaborates with musicians to co-write lots of songs. Taylor seems to network well and collaborates remotely a lot. She excels at getting lots of “lowest common denominator” stuff out there. Not much to criticize as it is blended homogenized swill that people like. She is filthy rich at a young age.
Taylor is a good singer and youngsters like her so she is a fad now. And kids are like sheep. Whatever is the “thing” they jump on board ... until the next shiny object comes along I suppose.
I just don’t find her singing at all interesting. She sounds like lots of other people out there.
She just had her private jet spray painted by climate cult followers.

EMI originally owned all the of the early Beatles Catalog material and was sold at one point to an Investor names Robert Holmes a Court.
Now Paul McCartney wanted to buy the rights back but Michael Jackson beat him to it and he paid about $43 Million for the catalog which also included a lot of other music rights. Then Jackson made a deal with Sony and sold half, In any event the catalog ended up being worth almost $1 Billion Dollars and Paul hated Jackson for him buying it from under him. At the time Paul was not including his ex-band mates in the deal.
