Because of course there’s this kind of drama in Big D …
Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy is reportedly not happy with the organization’s hierarchy, in particular with owner Jerry Jones for not respecting his leadership.
According to a report from Go Long’s Tyler Dunne:
“He’s doing it the best he can,” said a former Dallas personnel member recently. “Some of the people I’ve talked to have said that he’s getting fed up with it a little bit. It’s hard. I feel bad for [quarterback] Dak [Prescott]. I think Dak’s a really good quarterback who is capable of taking a team to the Super Bowl. He’s got to overcome a lot of things.”
Dunne’s report highlights that “current players are more concerned about Jerry Jones than their own head coach,” which high-ranked Cowboys officials indicated, and that “ownership can undermine the head coach at any moment,” according to Yahoo Sports.
What?! Drama in Dallas?!?!? You don’t say!
Considering the amount that has popped off within that organization for decades now, is anybody really shocked at this report?
Hell, I’m surprised it didn’t come earlier.
Ping!...................
Guess being a Jerry Puppet eventually gets to you.
HCINO....................
Mike knew he was going to work at the circus. Too late to complain that he doesn’t like the incessant calliope music.
Welcome to the party pal.... see Jimmy Johnson.
LOL.... stolen.
Not a peep about at the local diner this am, in Weatherford TX.
1) Dak Prescott is not that good.
2) Salary cap hell. 2 big contracts coming up-no money.
Bottom line-Jerry Jones is the owner. It’s his team.
Kinda reminds me of the NY Yankees in the 70’s under Steinbrenner. Throw in Billy Martin, Reggie, the Bronx Zoo.
And they brought back the thug, Ezekiel Elliot, who cost them a playoff spot with his suspension, so what did they do? They gave him a big contract as a reward, even though running backs are a dime a dozen, and he’s sucked since then.
Yup, agree! Jerry will have to “move on” before the CB’s will.
Jerry Jones is football’s version of George Steinbrenner.
Fed up with Jones? Wow ... imagine that.
Jones had the best coach in the NFL at the time in Jimmy Johnson but his (Jones) ego wouldn’t allow Johnson his success.
Maybe he’ll hire Belichick, they seem to have a common taste in younger women.
Lotta cowboys hate here. GOOD!
Nation Unsure Why Buffalo Bills Starting Gay Football Team When Dallas Cowboys Already Exist
Dallas wasn’t big enough for both of their egos.
I avoid crossing paths with dfw. But, that was funny!
