“”””””I now remember that back then, Kerry and McCain wanted Clinton to visit the Vietnam Wall, and I believe FR was involved in fighting it. I believe there was a link provided on FR, for a site where you could request a bunch of pre-printed postcards for people to fill out, demanding that Clinton not show his face at the Wall. The postcards were addressed to The White House. I handed out a bunch at work, and filled out one myself, and afterwards, I got audited by the IRS.””””””
Was there a second visit that FR was opposed to?
I said I thought the link was on FR. I am now corrected as I just remembered that I got the cards from Vietnam Veterans for America, as I was a member back then, in memory of my brother. I'd forgotten it until now. I just did a search, and found an article titled "POSTCARDS PROTEST CLINTON VISIT" in a Daily Press article for May 4, 1993, regarding his planned visit to the Vietnam Memorial. The postcard basically told him to stay away.
The LA Times also came up when I did a search for the Daily Press title, but both require subscriptions to view the whole article, and like most people, I won't do that.
Here's the link to the Daily Press article in case anyone has a workaround to view it:
