One of those early 80's punk novelty songs, I remember, kind of like, "I'm Turning Japanese"

It's Saturday have fun.

When the Ataris did the cover for Boys of Summer they changed it to

“I saw a Black Flag sticker on a Cadillac”

Reagan era punk rock is the best punk rock.

Glen Friedman’s photos are etched in the brains of anyone who read skateboarder magazine in the late 70s.

Black Flag was better than the Circle Jerks

I would rank Black Flag behind the Clash, the Sex Pistols, the Dead Kennedys, and the Ramones.

SAY WHAT?

Unlike Black Flag, Circle Jerks are an incredibly TIGHT band, and Keith Morris could actually hit notes on key (unlike Henry Rollins of Black Flag). Circle Jerks are STILL performing, I think.

One of the guys in this TV Party video was a good friend of mine in the 1980's. Wonder what he's up to these days. I've also met Henry Rollins. Smart guy but lousy singer.

Saw Circle Jerks many times. Great to see in person. Love the chord changes in their songs. Clever stuff such as "Letter Bomb", "Deny Everything" (shortest song ever), "Room 13", "Operation", lol.

Dead Kennedys are number 1, IMO

It’s not a novelty song. It’s a protest song, like all punk. It’s about letting TV rot your brain. Which used to worry people in the 80s.

Keith Morris was Black Flag’s first singer.

He quit and formed Circle Jerks.

Rollins was Black Flag’s fourth singer.

It works on both levels.
