Don’t pay attention to the obtuse comments.
Some are unwilling to consider any info that reveals nature of the invasion of Ukraine by Putin.

"Proxy wars have a tendency of becoming direct wars against those that wish to remain neutral."
Can you provide the neutral countries that have had direct wars occur against them as a result of a proxy war the U.S. has been involved in against Russia.

Sadly, some are obsessed with Putin. Others are obsessed with insults & spamming other Freepers that hold alternative political viewpoints! While some have earned the reputation for doing both.<<<<

Thank you for you kindness. I was taught to ‘consider the source’ of insults and stupid comments. And I do.

alternative political viewpoints
Deeply appreciate your input, but, the discussion is not about about politics; it's about foreign affairs and wars. Politics is about domestic policies and the difference opinions that involve people from different political ideologies. Ukraine vs Russia is not a political discussion, though some people want to make it that.

FACT is that, there are no longer neutral countries, nor countries that can manage to be isolationist. Ain't no such thing anymore.
Finland and Sweden and others tried neutrality, and even the U.S. tried neutrality/isolation, but, in world wars, everybody gets drawn into the fight. Ukraine was not at war before Putin came calling. In a big sense, Ukraine was 'neutral' and then, Crimea was taken, and Ukraine had to get involved in defending itself, with diplomacy and then with military defense.
We have countries with desires for expansion moving into what were neutral countries, in S. Ame4rica and in Asia and in Europe and Africa. China and Russia and Iran are not involved in foreign intervention because they want to improve the conditions in those areas. They are into those areas to expand their influence and even to take over some or all of those areas, and their ultimate target is the U.S., which they hope to make irrelevant.
The U.S. was isolationist before WW1 and WW2. What do you think forced us into those wars?

Because the mainstream media has NEVER lied about anything before, they’re all totally telling the truth about this now.

Thanks. I didn't think you could provide an answer. The rest of your attempted explanation is unnecessary. You made a claim. I asked you if you could provide an example. You couldn't. Case closed.

Dumb as a rock?
You must be talking about mommy's Grey Rock Therapy.
Now THAT was dumb as a rock! And since she doesn't push it any more, I'd say it wasn't the least bit effective...but it certainly provided us with plenty of giggles.

BRIT MG Chapman, btw..... I wonder how he can so blithely say “failure of S-300 and S-400s”....... how many of his BRIT planes went up against them. Or is he just repeating what he’s heard or read? Or is he talking about failures because they were used against atypical attacking targets....
It’s very hard today to believe our own General Officers (and even some of the lessors like the Vindman brothers) let alone some BRIT whacko with a paper-tiger MOD....

Ain't as simple as one example of neutrality gone wrong...
Some neutrals were forced to become belligerents by way of Nazi or Italian invasion. They had no choice. Others might have had sympathies that bent toward the Axis (Spain, Portugal) or Allies (Sweden). Still others became quite adroit at playing both sides (Switzerland, Ireland). Of all the neutral’s, Sweden’s situation was probably the most precarious. Vast resources of ore, timber, coal and so on were coveted by Allies and Axis alike. However, she was virtually encircled by the Germans after the invasion of Norway. And when Finland joined the Axis for Operation Barbarossa (German-Finnish invasion of the USSR), the Swedes were all alone. Germany never invaded, however. This is due in part to the fact that encirclement, and Sweden’s willingness to export ore to Germany, made such an invasion unnecessary. Too, after the Russo-Finnish war of 1940, Sweden quickly stepped up military conscription and arms manufacture.
In the modern world, neutrality doesn't really exist, and if a country declares being neutral, they're lying to themselves. Any 'neutral' country that doesn't bother with defense, is an easy and prime target for belligerent nations.

Now you are saying that it's not that simple to provide an example for what you originally claimed. Please don't bother to send me any more of your comments. I'm not interested.
