What I care about is the U.S., and not having it destroyed by sending billions of unaccounted-for tax payer dollars overseas to fight yet another proxy war with Russia.
Proxy wars have a tendency of becoming direct wars against those that wish to remain neutral. There are no more neutral countries in Europe, or even in the entire world. The world is a lot smaller than it was in the `1800s or even the 1900s or 2000s. We cannot hide anymore. We are the number one target in the world, and we have to be involved overseas, or we will be found and the war will be inside our own continent. China want's to undo us, and so does Russia and so does Iran.

This from chaddie: “Once again, perhaps for the last time in my life, I’m going to have to hold my nose while voting for the Republican candidate. Depressing is what it is.”

And what’s the reason zeepers hate Trump so much? You guessed it!
UKRAINE!
Trump won’t gush “Slava Ukraini” like Pelosi, and he won’t wave a blue and yellow flag like Harris and the House Democrats, nor will he suck up to Dictator/Grifter Zelensky like The Big Guy.

"Proxy wars have a tendency of becoming direct wars against those that wish to remain neutral."
That isn't a reason for the U.S. to be involved in another one 5,000 miles away in a country that is of no national security interest to us, while the Biden Administration is allowing an unending invasion on our southern border, and is destroying America from within. My most important concern is America First. Ukraine and Russia aren't even on my concern list.
"We cannot hide anymore. We are the number one target in the world, and we have to be involved overseas..."
You don't get it. It's because we are involved around the world, sticking our nose into other countries' affairs that we are a target, and while we're focused on other countries' business, it's leaving us vulnerable at home, while depleting our own resources. And the enemy you claim you are so concerned about, Biden is letting those bastards in unchecked, in the thousands, through our southern border.
We were involved in two friggin' World Wars to save Europe's ass, fought a war against China and Russia in Korea that never ended in victory and left a lot of Americans dead or MIA, got involved in Vietnam, and fought another lengthy proxy war against China and Russia that we ended running from, and again cost us many American lives and MIA's, and we wasted time, money, and once again American lives in Iraq and Afghanistan. Now it's Ukraine, and politicians on both sides of the aisle are talking about sending American troops to die once more in a foreign war...for what reason? We haven't been hiding for the past 71 years, we've over-exposed ourselves in useless, unending wars that have left America less than it was before, but left those who have investments in the military industrial complex much richer than before.

I think the point is…take a look at the accuracy of ‘Chip’s” analysis of the war since 2022, and proceed accordingly.
Given what’s been coming out of the UK Defence Ministry since at least 2022… about the war in Ukraine and particularly Russia ( at least publicly) …….. he’s the very model of a modern Major-General

Try to understand what I said here:
"Proxy wars have a tendency of becoming direct wars against those that wish to remain neutral."
There is a lot of truth to that and you can't just dismiss it or get around it.
We are involved around the world, and there is no way around it. Our national interests are not immediately evident, but, neutrality has a way of emboldening our enemies and aggressive countries. It's not a small world anymore and what happens overseas has an immediate consequence to us.
Ukraine is not one of our 50 states, but, it's very important if we are to continue to be a country with the freedoms we enjoy. Belligerent despots and tyrannical regimes want to destroy us, and they can begin towards that goal by making us insignificant in other parts of the world. If Ukraine lose, Russia wins, and so do China and Iran and many of our other enemies. Afghanistan was the trigger which indicated that we no longer wanted to be involved in a foreign war, and Russia read that pullout as the message they needed to go after some or more of their neighbors. Ukraine is just the beginning and nobody should doubt that they would not go after others in the region.
Neutrality and isolation no longer works. China and Russia have proved that we have to stay or get involved, no matter how distant or 'insignificant' a country might seem.
We tried not getting involved before WW1 and WW2. We almost got into the fight too late, and the A-bomb was kind of 'savior'. We can't just try to be neutral or isolated, since trouble has a way of seeking us out.

I just want my country to stay out of this Biden BS. Let Europe handle its own problems.
