Putin's troops blast one of their own £19million Ka-29 assault helicopters out of the sky in latest humiliating friendly fire blunder

Russia's armed forces suffered a new blow today when its air defences shot down one of its own military helicopters near the war zone.

The latest friendly fire nightmare resulted in the death of all four crew members, it was reported.

The £19 million Ka-29 assault helicopter was on duty hunting for Ukrainian kamikaze sea drones near Black Sea resort Anapa this morning when it was hit by a Russian Pantsir medium-range surface-to-air missile in an incident of mistaken targeting.

The Russians blamed the blunder on a malfunction of the 'friend or foe' identification system.

Russians shoot down their own aircraft frequently enough to suggest some are intentional. Maybe some guy owes another money, is a competitor for a girl or a promotion? It’s hard to be this incompetent.

Waiting in the grocery store line has never been the same since Weekly World News went away. I used to even buy one on occasion if the headlines were outlandish enough. Great fun.

Meanwhile, Russia is gaining more territory by the day and continues to degrade the Ukrainian electrical grid.

Silly stories like this are just a diversion from realities like this:

https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/russian-air-attack-damages-ukraines-energy-infrastructure-2024-06-20/

KYIV, June 20 (Reuters) - Russia launched a new barrage of missiles and drones at Ukraine in the early hours of Thursday, causing "significant" damage to a thermal power plant and maintaining pressure on the electricity grid, Ukrainian officials said.

The attack on energy infrastructure in four regions damaged equipment, wounded seven workers and cut off electricity to more than 218,000 consumers, the energy ministry said.

The attacks, Kyiv says, have knocked out half of Ukraine's energy generating capacity since March and forced rolling blackouts. Moscow has said energy facilities are a legitimate military target and that some of the strikes were retaliation for Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory.

Officials in Kyiv have for months been appealing to Ukraine's allies to supply more air defences against the air strikes carried out by Russia.

Private power company DTEK said one of its thermal power plants suffered significant damage during what it said was the seventh large-scale attack on its infrastructure since March 22.

"Enemy missiles hit a DTEK power station already damaged in previous attacks... We urgently need to close our skies or Ukraine faces a serious crisis this winter. My plea to allies is to help us defend our energy system and rebuild in time," said the company's CEO, Maxim Timchenko. National grid operator Ukrenergo said the attack would lead to an increase in scheduled blackouts on Thursday.

There was no $40,000 Paris shopping spree.

As silly as it sounded when it hit the internet as Ukraine needed every bit of public and foreign support it could get, people should have thought to look into it a little before spreading the fake claim.

When you support Communist lover Putin, you also support his only friends... Communist loving Kim Jong Un, Communist loving Xi Jinping and Communist loving Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez... Like Communism much?

And then there’s this from Newsweak, a favorite zeeper source. This one talks about a $1.1M Cartier shopping spree in NYC where Zelenska even got an intern fired.

Not trusting British tabloids does not make a person a Putin supporter.

Put the crack pipe down, foreigner.

When you support Communist lover Putin

I'm an American who supports Trump, while you remain an angry, old, humorless Canadian mimicking Hillary with her Russia! nonsense. Tell me something, what's the story behind the Trudeau/Castro connection? Did you Nazi-lovers up North ever investigate it?

Repeating the fake story of something that never happened doesn’t change anything.

Oh, I read it. That’s why I cited the source - Newsweak.

We have no way of knowing whether or not these shopping sprees occurred. The media is completely unreliable these days.
