Biden administration seeks 18-month stay before processing Just the News open records request, America First Legal calls delay request "shocking."
The Biden administration is seeking to delay until at least 2026 the release of COVID-19 vaccine safety data that has been kept outside the government’s normal adverse events reporting system.
The Departments of Justice and Health and Human Services asked U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton this week to issue an 18-month stay that keeps them from having to release the Food and Drug Administration’s data to Just the News under the Freedom of Information Act.
The federal agencies alleged that “exceptional circumstances” exist to necessitate the delay in compliance with the open records law because the FDA is stretched thin by numerous other requests for public information related to the pandemic.
The agency “has been dealing with an unprecedented workload requiring FOIA productions involving approximately 5.7 million pages of COVID-19 vaccine records in a compressed timeframe,” the government argued in the motion filed Tuesday night.
The government revealed it has secured stays in seven other cases seeking records and asked Walton to do the same with the Just the News request. Federal lawyers claim the agency hired several new employees to try to speed up processing but that it can take up to two years to train new staff to process such requests.
“Thus, despite the Branch’s good-faith investment in increasing its future processing capacity by training new employees, its resources remain limited during this lengthy onboarding period,” the government claimed.
Just the News, which is represented in the case by the America First Legal public interest law firm, is opposing the stay and a status conference is scheduled Thursday before the judge.
Gene Hamilton, America First Legal’s general counsel and vice president, on Wednesday dismissed the government’s request as a delay tactic that will keep patients who might consider getting additional vaccine boosters from having full data to make an informed decision.
There was never “Informed Consent” because choice is not really a thing the left values unless it is for killing their babies.
Only reason not to release is because the government is corrupt and big Pharma murdered people.
Till after the 2024 election, and past the 2026 midterms.
They should release the information and blame Trump. Damn country is so far gone that a sizable majority would believe it.
Just like H1N1, delay until the data is too old to be timely. No, release it now, all of it while the people responsible still accessible and within the statute of limitations to charge. Companies were given immunity, public trust was abused, and people were injured and died. Let’s get it all out now.

They are not trying to further delay the release because the data would be good. That is for sure.
If they had “nothing to hide” a huge data dump would be a huge good faith effort.

Well they could set up an Independent Review Board like JFK assassination board. Take a few years to investigate. Then seal the records for 25 years. Then 24 years in the future further seal the records out to 60 years and then tell the current future President not to release the records….. seems that plan worked before…. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
This is the same behavior by the Fed. (CDC) when they tried to hide the contents of the Pfizer vaxxine for 72 years when it was first released to the public.
I am of the belief that the national health industry and the FED are in cahoots with each other by offering cover and safety to the industry,
while ignoring the potential and actual adverse effects to the public.
Realize that many in national health retire with their knowledge of federal procedures and personal contacts,
and then return to healthcare and pharmacological companies as 'consultants'.
The big Pharma companies and the former Federal regulators have an almost 'incestuous relationship',
and thus ignore safety concerns to the general public for the cushy and well paying 'consultant' jobs
They figure that that’s enough time for the public to have forgotten the massive fraud that the politico-medical establishment unleashed on the people.
