First Selectman Fred Camillo has announced plans to honor former President George H.W. Bush with a statue in his hometown of Greenwich. The 41st president of the United States, who grew up in Greenwich, attended Yale University and served in the Navy during World War II. Camillo said the statue will be placed at the town's veteran's memorial, located at the intersection of Greenwich Avenue and Arch Street. During a recent Board of Selectmen meeting, Camillo described the project as long overdue. He did not provide a timeline for the statue's construction.

Just put a fence around it and concertina wire on the inside.

The is a Bush lane or Bush Ave in Old Greenwich, CT.

I knew a guy who grew up in Greenwich. He was in the only public housing project in town. Right on the north side of I95. He became a very good golfer because he worked as a “looper” (caddie) at the Greenwich Country Club as a kid.

Old Greenwich is where the real old money is. Right down by LI sound. That is where the Skackel kid(Kennedy cousin) took a 9 iron to Martha Moxley.

I just looked it up. It is Bush Ave in Belle Haven section of Old Greenwich, CT.

FYI, houses tend to run in the $6-8 Million range. Just in case you are interested.

It’s so easy to pile on the deceased GHWB. Never forget, as an 18 year old Naval pilot, he was shot down in the South Pacific battling the Japanese in WW2, but miraculously survived and was pulled aboard a rescue vessel. It is true his presidency was a mixed bag, but he did give the nation SC Justice Clarence Thomas.

That credit goes to the very skillful Senator from Missouri,
Episcopal Reverend John Danforth, former Atty General of Missouri. Clarence Thomas came out of Yale Law School to join Danforth’s staff as Asst. Attorney General of Missouri.
Ronald Reagan appointed Thomas as Asst. Sec. of Education-civil rights division. Reagan
Danforth steered the committee chaired by idiot.. Joe DumbA@@ Biden (who spent a lot of time on camera flashing his new teeth caps and hair plugs) to approve Clarence Thomas.

IIRC, Danforth whitewashed some investigation.

Fred Camillo wants to dox folks who file FOIA requests.

Greenwich Patriots are pretty active in giving Camillo and other bad actors some push back. Greenwich and Stamford are cesspools.

They were the New England Elite that my grandparents grew up under their boot…. Working in the mills- Grandfather Paper mills, Grandmother Textile… child labor, yeah it was real. They left Connecticut and settled in Washington and then So. calif in the late 1940’s. They were salt of the earth hardworking people. Their modest little home was the center of love in my family. Their education was not much beyond middle school, but their wisdom, hard work and morality brought our family through some tumultuous times.
When Reagan ran for President my Grandfather quietly supported him… my Grandmother not so sure… she didn’t like Nancy…LOL…. Not sure!
They accomplished something that does not exist in our collective family today… every single generation respected and honored them until their passing.

Danforth investigated Waco.

He criticized Hawley in connection with 2020 election.

SO? Earth shattering. Waco needed to be investigated, and Session FBI was exposed in idiocy along with BATF and the tanks.
