The US Open is the only true test of professional golfers.

Augusta has an almost, holy like aura. It’s really hard to lose a golf ball there. Guys swing as hard as they can. Hardly any rough.

Greens are a bitch. I’ve been there. But that doesn’t have a lot of bad areas unless you hit it really bad

Wasn’t the US Open at Bethpage Black where the winner was over Par?

The 2002 U.S. Open was won by Tiger Woods, the only player to break par for the tournament. It was seen as one of the most difficult and exciting U.S. Opens in history

I remember that one. At the end the golfers were about to collapse. I believe it was very hot, and the announcers made a point about how long the course was and how hilly it was. No one did very well. It was tough.
