Caitlin Clark was smacked on the head by Angel Reese and subjected to more rough treatment by her Chicago Sky rivals on Sunday, causing Dave Portnoy to lead the outrage.
Clark and the Indiana Fever played Chicago on Sunday for the first time since the No. 1 overall pick in the WNBA Draft was brutally bodychecked by Chennedy Carter earlier this month.
The Fever won that first meeting 71-70 on June 1 but the game was overshadowed by Sky guard Carter's hip-check foul on Clark before an inbounds play.
It was ruled a common foul, only to be upgraded to a flagrant-one foul the day after the game.
But, on Sunday, it didn't take long for Clark to be targeted by Reese, Carter and their Sky teammate Dana Evans again.

CC’s team isn’t very good, neither is the Chicago team. The more they beat on her, the better she plays. Good for her. Stay above the fray.
They were fighters. Plus Robert Parish stood up for Bird. Same thing with Karl Malone for Stockton.
I assume that's not the case with CC (I wouldn't know, I do not watch WNBA games, I'm just here for the commentary).
Sounds like Lillehammer in 1994.
The main part of CC's appeal is that she's a heterosexual female from Iowa (who happens to be Caucasian).
CC's games are selling out. Her games have the highest ratings on TV.
“Player who assaulted her need to be charged and suspended for the rest of the season”
This type of treatment for rookies is not unusual in the NBA. And with the change in thought about the need for increased violence in the WNBA to sell their product closer to the men’s, it should be expected. They don’t worry about beaking a nail out there anymore. She’s not complaining. She understands it is done. It’s an effort to take her out of her game. This was going on in the NBA back in the 1950’s. And if she doesn’t hit back, she is going to be stalked for a long time. It has nothing to do with color, religion, or gender. It’s the pro game and what it uses to fill the seats. It’s a hazing...that’s all. And international ball is just as violent if not worse since everyone gets hit.

Alas, the Daily Mail site has become unusable.
“...it’s quite possible the other Fever players are passive-aggressively supporting the flagrant foulers, the way half the GOP House and 90% of the GOP Senate support the Democrats.”
Good analogy.
Donald Trump = Caitlin Clark
GOP house and senate = Caitlin Clark’s team (supporting the opposing players)
Democrats = opposing players
Even in an WNBA basketball thread, you GOP haters find a way to express your hate. Really sick of you people who add nothing to FR.
her teammates suck for not standing up for her...
Clark put up 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 9 assists in a win for the Fever. Pretty much how you get back at the thuggery.
Angel Reese is a role model for every feral black girl who beats on a white girl. There have been many horrific videos of black females, who are probably lesbians, beating on white girls.
perhaps there needs to be a white and a black nba team?
What I don’t get is where are her “teammates” reciprocating the treatment to the ghetto dykes on the other team. The lack of retaliation and sticking up for your teammate is pathetic
Clark can take care of herself.
Agreed. Like a nuclear explosion of junk and BS. Can barely get the actual information.
I don’t care what they do. I aint watchin’ no basketball.
Her teammates could fix this by standing up for her.
Her team owner could fix this by bringing in an enforcer.
The refs could fix it by fouling out the offending players with touch fouls.
The league could fix this with fines and instructing the refs.
My conclusion, nobody wants to fix it.
I watched it today and it was the first WNBA I have ever seen. I watched to see if Clark was roughed up and of course she was a bit.
I think a good boys high school team could have easily beaten either team but they weren't playing a boys team and I found it quite entertaining. I will probably watch it again if I came across a WNBA Fever game on TV. (Geeze, my life must really suck.)
I know the press interviews these players, so why aren’t they interviewing her teammates and asking them why they aren’t speaking out against this racism? Why is no one suing the Chicago Sky team and the guilty parties?
