Their ignorance is astounding, but not unexpected.

The 17th amendment destroyed the republic. We are not a republic as founded anymore.

The US is not now, nor ever has been a democracy.

The best description I’ve read is this ...

While often categorized as a democracy, the United States is more accurately defined as a constitutional federal republic. What does this mean? “Constitutional” refers to the fact that government in the United States is based on a Constitution which is the supreme law of the United States. The Constitution not only provides the framework for how the federal and state governments are structured, but also places significant limits on their powers. “Federal” means that there is both a national government and governments of the 50 states. A “republic” is a form of government in which the people hold power, but elect representatives to exercise that power.

“A republic, if you can keep it.” - Ben Franklin. This isn't ignorance, it's gaslighting. Obama said he was going to transform the country, and he is succeeding beyond his wildest dreams (much to the chagrin of real Americans).

LOL!!!

Each of the founders was incalculably brighter than Donie O'Sullivan, and each of them knew, precisely, the definition of "democracy." Yet through their painstaking deliberations and plans, they took a calculated decision to NOT form the US as a democracy, but as a republic. In fact, NONE of the founding documents used the terms, "democracy" or "democratic." They DELIBERATELY AVOIDED that concept in ALL their documents.

Who exactly is Donie O'Sullivan, and why does he believe his incredulity is at all valid?

Someone needs to get down to the level of the progs, like, oooh, first grade.

Ask them if the know the Pledge and make them repeat it out loud.

The second part is liable to "force" them into violence and it will be your fault.

The original text is: “I pledge of allegiance to my flag and the Republic for which it stands – One nation indivisible – with liberty and justice for all.”

The current Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, “I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.“

The Cylons can not offer any explanation for their "democracy" fetish, apparently they really are that stupid.

The democrats want mob rule, AKA democracy. I sure don’t, that’s how you lose your God given rights.
