Matt tells a brief story on 2016 polling, while covering the Republican ticket..
Nate Silver of *360 Polling* was the man in 2016. Nate said to Matt, after Trump beat HRC with her winning poll numbers, “If you’re numbers are off in one state, they’re probably off in all of them.”
Boy, were they off.
Another pollster sat Matt down at the Convention and told Matt to look at the Likability numbers.
Matt looked at those numbers and saw how Unlikable both candidates were and said, “Wow! Those numbers are insurmountable!” [for Trump].
Trump ended up beating HRC by 2 to 1 in that Likability catagory.
I remember Trump himself was numb struck when he and family finally appeared on stage.
