I don’t know how to do substacks, or how to reach people who could be swayed.

A couple Nebraska state senators had a meeting that my church hosted, where they explained this initiative, which is likely to get on the ballot. Where this initiative has already been tried, including in Ohio, it has easily passed. So they want to have a pro-life initiative to contrast on the ballot. We’re trying to get signatures, which doesn’t look likely at this point since we only have until July 2 to try to get a LOT of signatures.

My thought was with the methods of AI - tracking what people are interested in and making sure that they stay in a social-media bubble where they never hear anything except what they want to hear... there must be a way to use the same technology or somehow find out who needs to hear what we’re trying to say.

In Nebraska it’s largely the people in Lincoln and Omaha, where the liberal rags lie constantly and the people drink it up apparently. But how do we get to them? I was hoping with all the internet-savvy here on FR somebody could put their brains together to figure out how to do it.

For the initiative we have to have signatures from a lot of counties, which is why I went the letter to the editor route; in small towns people do read the local newspaper’s letters to the editor.

But at this point I think we’re just going to have to try to point out how extremely radical this amendment is, and how untrustworthy its sponsors have shown themselves. The editor at the World Herald wouldn’t let me say that PP is being sued by the MO AG for doing doctor-aided trafficking of women for out-of-state abortions to evade parental consent laws. Morgana has done a FANTASTIC job of getting the word out about women freaking out at giving birth to intact babies after PP told them RU-486 would just be like a heavy period. But how do we get average people to hear just how cold and deceptive PP really is - and how the amendment they’re sponsoring serves only THEIR interests, not the interests of the women who will be suffering long after the abortion?

I know Laz had a thread at one point about helping people on FR to publish. I was dealing with other stuff at the time so I didn’t follow it, but maybe there are some ideas of how FR as a whole can try to reach into populations who needs to hear certain information. Maybe work in cahoots somehow with Scott Presler. He seems to have a pretty good handle on how to convince younger people groups. I’ve realized I don’t think like “normal” people so I’m kind of clueless. But I do a decent job of researching and clearly expressing information when I know who my target audience is. Or if not me, SOMEBODY here would be very capable.

We need a place we can refer people to for very concise, well-documented summaries on critical issues - to somehow break the vacuum that IA has put most people into, where they just don’t hear the “other side”.
