Constantly eating more than needed appears to take off the equivalent of 16 human years of life, due to excess nutrient inflammation across most of our cells.

Somehow addressing the accumulating inflammation can bring back some years of life, however, but reducing the overeating would appear to help quite a bit more.

Intermittent fasting is the easiest way to limit caloric intake, reduce inflammation, and prolong life. I eat during an 8 hour window only and have been doing so for 6 years. I have dropped weight, cured my acid reflux, and even my varicose veins look better. It costs you nothing to try.
