Ha. We have 2 1965 Dodge Darts. One with an awesome 318 in it, 4 door. The other has a dead slant 6, but it IS a 2 door post, and we have a brand new slant 6 engine we’ve been holding on to for 30+ years. Was thinking about selling them, but with the way things have been going, we’re kind of in wait and see mode.
I thought the ‘65 Dart maxed out at 273 V-8.
There are brake upgrade kits for those things. The drum mechanism on those aren’t great. What do you use for a carb on the 318. Do you use lead substitute, and do you have to use high-octane? I always had to in my 318s (’79 Diplomat/’89 Fifth Ave.).
