They should definitely invite Uncle Ted for the Ceremony.

My bad. I thought they removed baby Whitey from Yellowstone. Need more coffee.

Seriously, though....get close to the calf. It’ll make a great picture.

A local bank restored it and it is on their property. I’ve not seen it. I only discovered it was moved when I looked for a photo of it.

It is an old landmark, I can see why they wanted it. Probably a lot of those attending WT A&M might bank with them. It is still the school mascot. (I think)

Football there is as partisan as politics.

Politics in the Panhandle of Texas has always been strong GOP. Always was fiscal conservative, even among Dems.

Farming, Ranching and Oil/gas were the strong beginning of the Texas Panhandle region.

I’ve never been a sports fan. I played football and ran track in high school. But was far too busy at the farm to devote much to it.

I took college very seriously.

After college I spent all my time trying to make a living for my little family. And I acquired interests in a lot of other areas.

So no time for sports.

I am the same.

Never played much in school, was a bench warmer.

But now that I do have the time, approaching retirement, I’m almost 70, I am a football fanatic.

I will never be a sports fan.

Have too many other interests that I feel stronger about.

I didn’t used to be.

Hated football.

Like you, I was too busy raising a family, paying off a mortgage, and now they have their own kids.

Riding motorcycles and watching football is good.......

I think it’s OK if it identifies as a Bison Of Color.
