I was curious, so I checked on the species of the snake in these attacks. It's the reticulated python. The bulk of the python problem in Florida are Burmese pythons, a different species. There aren't a lot of cases of Burmese pythons in the wild trying to attack adult humans for food. The reticulated python & the African rock python seem to have the worst reputation for that.
