That comment makes almost no sense. All of RedHat's technology was available free on the Internet before IBM bought them. They made their money from support contracts. Do you seriously think that Microsoft doesn't have a ton of people overseas? Apple, same question?

That comment makes almost no sense. Also, Linux was originally written/conceived by a non-American.
Yes, he does have American citizenship now, but he wasn't American at the time it was first released.
If anything, it illustrates how Americans (as shown by the development by Americans of the subsequent releases) can take something and make it useful to everyone.

They (IBM) made their money from support contracts. Of course they did. Did you not read my post? I stated Linux fostered technology transfers to foreign governments and companies, which is undisputed. And IBM only made peanuts compared to what was lost to the rest of the US.
