It sounds like the system worked in Alex Jones case.

Fundamentally, it’s his fault. He knew how far he could take a conspiracy and stay within the law while talking about it. He knew that the parents would be listening to him and hoping that he would cross the line.

Their patience paid off.

I still don't know what the harm was other than get their feelings hurt. Back when we were a serious country you were able to voice your opinion regardless of whose feelings were hurt.

And for the record, yes, I find Alex Jones to be an idiot.
