Garland’s Moment of Truth: With the Perjury Referral, the Attorney General Faces a Clear Choice Between Principle and Politics
Jonathan Turley ^

Posted on 06/07/2024 1:15:34 PM PDT by Tench_Coxe

For each of us, there often comes a moment when our principles are put to an undeniable and unavoidable test. It may be as simple as cheating on a test, shoplifting a product, or admitting to a wrong. It is natural to want to avoid such moments, particularly when we cannot even admit to ourselves that we may not be the person we have long claimed to be.

For Attorney General Merrick Garland, that moment of truth has finally arrived. Garland has long maintained that he is an apolitical attorney general who does not even consider the political consequences of his actions. Over the last three years, some of us have questioned that commitment in a series of actions or, more importantly, non-actions. Yet, Garland has always been able to evade responsibility by shifting decision-making to others or claiming a lack of knowledge.

G-d is not seeming to hold dimmocrats responsible for their many sins. There are no crimes attributable to dimmoscrats any more, only Republicans. I think G-d is just waiting for dimmocrat sins to reach a certain point and then He will reign justice down on them wholesale. And it will be glorious to see Divine Justice meted out.

Johnathan Turley is naive and has a blind spot. There is no choice because Garland doesn’t have a shred of principle or ethics.

The assumption is that Garland has a conscience. I would argue that assumption as faulty.

Oh, all Democrats HAVE a conscience, they all just IGNORE their conscience. ALL OF THEM!

You can’t have an ethical dilemma if you have no ethics. Democrats have no problem being openly and demonstrably corrupt, knowing it will be distorted or totally ignored by the media. Furthermore, their support base has dispensed with factual concerns altogether, so even if is disclosed, it will have no political impact whatsoever. They are immune to logic and reason.

Garland will say that it's too close to an election an referring Biden relatives to a grand jury would be "influencing an election."

And then he will stay silent while Merchan in New York jails President Trump.

That Obama wanted Garland to be on the Supreme Court, rather than nominating another woman or some unrepresented ethnic group like Asian, tells us a lot about Garland. And Garland has a personal grudge against Trump because Trump picked someone else for the vacant seat on the Supreme Court.

Exactly.

And then appointing him AG.

Garland did not become AG until Biden took office. Of course Obama may have told Biden to pick Garland.

"He's always been a marxist little twerp."

He reminds me of the strange old guys who turn out to be notorious child molesters. I would make book that Garland has diddled some children.

This one made me laugh, his choice won’t be guided by moral conscience but political expediency

Don’t worry nobody is above the law. The Dems have been telling us that for months.

The problem with corruption is it eventually places the corrupt in untenable positions.

"So Garland’s moment of truth has arrived. He will either have to meet it or shrink from it. Either way, the Attorney General is about to give the full measure of himself and his office."

So when he makes his decision his journey over to the Dark Side will be complete.
