Americans and Germans treated each other well. No problems with POWs. But the Eastern Front was crazy.

I want see pictures of the other 73 POWs. If one was nearly starved to death, surely any of the others there any length of time should be equally malnourished.
I wouldn't put it past the Ukrainians to take pictures of a guy this thin that wasn't even being held as POW by Russia.

I hear that the Azov POW guys of the Belgorod Flying Circus didn't get a chance to starve.
They didn't even get a parade parachute...

You should see some of the J6ers. I don’t care about Ukraine BS because they are as bad as the Russians.

Guess I qualify as emaciated. Weigh 113 and you can see my ribs. Not that I’d let you.

At least he didn’t get shoot down by Ukraine immediately before the POW exchange; Ukraine killed their own men and failed to turn over their captive Russians.

Wow! Gorilyk Roman Vasilyevich is certainly much less Nazi now.
Looks like Russia is successfully De-Nazifying Ukraine.

90,000 German troops surrendered to the Soviets at the battle of Stalingrad during WW2.
Only 5,000 of those German troops made it back to Germany.

Looks like the Russians treat their POWs pretty much like the Imperial Japanese did theirs.

World War II Casualties Of The Soviet Union"World War II losses of the Soviet Union were about 27,000,000, both civilian and military from all war-related causes,[1] although exact figures are disputed. A figure of 20 million was considered official during the Soviet era. The post-Soviet government of Russia puts the Soviet war losses at 26.6 million,[2] on the basis of the 1993 study by the Russian Academy of Sciences, including people dying as a result of effects of the war.[3][4][5] This includes 8,668,400 military deaths as calculated by the Russian Ministry of Defence.[2][6][7]
