Text Scams involving Trump and supporters.
I've been getting a LOT of scam texts, claiming to be Trump supporters and other conservatives, with links like: (https://q.consrvpledge.com).
Did some checking and they seem to be scams of Chinese origin - beware and NEVER hit such links from your phone or computer.
It looks like the Chinese are trying to piss off Trump supporters by flooding us with crap scam texts.

They don’t care if you get mad or not. They just want that easy Monday. Text them back about the June 4th massacre in China. It gets them in trouble.
I get them, and I’m not even a registered Republican anymore. I block and delete each one I get, but then they send them from another number, and then I block those too.
I get many of these every day. I’ve blocked thousands of their phone numbers, but they probably have millions of them.
SO many of these.
About 5-30 a day for months now.

Just in the last five minutes.
I report spam and block these but Verizon still lets them through.
I’m using android OS on my phone. Any suggestions that don’t include Apple products?
I am getting 1-3 text almost every hour, I report and block every single one of these as spam. By the tiny URL or whatever it is, I cannot discern between legit, if any, and others.
They spoof the numbers so that you can't see the real number they are using. Blocking does little good when you can't block the real number.
Sometimes, I block them. But usually, I just delete them.
Delete and Report as Junk, then block the number - after awhile you get less and less of those texts
I recently switched from AT&T to T-Mobile and with T-Mobile, I never see most of the spam texts when using SMS - they get sent to a spam folder so I can look at them at my leisure and decide how to handle them - the only problem is my car still sees them until I’ve “processed” them. I usually send the “stop” to see if I get a response about no longer on the list to get them - if I get a other from that number, I block and report as spam - over last 2 months, I’ve blocked about 130 numbers and now I’m down to 2-4 a day coming in.
T-Mobile also provided a “Scam Shield” app for regular calls which makes it easy to block/report such calls...t has a rudimentary reverse lookup option which generally shows what state the number is registered in, the provider, and whether it’s a land line or mobile phone.
