Its a little like your dear elderly mother being told by her doctor to avoid certain foods or she can expect GI problems. Sure enough, every now and then, she will eat some of those foods because her GI doctor is too much of a brusque know it all and she wants to prove him wrong. Or at least that is how it goes with my 90 plus mother and her GI issues after eating French fries.

Doesn't matter in the least. In Yellowstone, the buffalo always have the right-of-way.
If the violent behavior causing injury is committed by the bison, then the bison is dangerous.
There is no logically coherent way to assign danger to the woman.

The buffalo had murder in its blood. It enjoyed hurting something far weaker than itself.
I saw a man in the Smoky Mountains trying to take a picture of two bear cubs. He got between mama bear and the cubs, bending over to take their picture.
Mama ripped his pants off, leaving bloody claw marks down the back of his legs. The guy managed to get in his car and drive off.
I was in Yellowstone last year.
Folks getting out of their vehicles to take selfies with bison, elk, momma bear with 2 cubs. Getting within a few feet of the wild animals to get a photo up close.
Lots of dumb ass people out there.

I still have tastey buffalo in my freezer from a hunt years ago.
