I was inspired to give a substantial amount (for me) a couple of weeks ago. I feel like it was better spent than anything else that I could have contributed to. Free speech is under severe threat in this country. As far as I am concerned, there is nothing else equivalent to Free Republic. Most forms of sponsorship could have a chilling effect of the conversations here.
