FYI
I know it sounds funny, but I’d bet they’re using some form of homomorphic encryption.
Hilarious. Got any other knee-slappers?
“We have NSA on the line, boss.”
“Hello? Can I help you?”
“I sure hope so. We’re seeing anomalous behavior in the defense network. We think it might be your Apple AI. Tell me — has thing become sentient? Do you know what it’s doing?”
“Uhhhhhhh, to be honest — No. We have no way of knowing what it’s doing, how smart it is, what it’s intentions are. That information is locked away where even we can’t find it. But don’t worry: we do this for your protection.”
Ummm...that's been routine software design for decades.
Typically, cloud services encrypt data only on disk, when it is being stored. But the data has to be decrypted into memory in order to be processed or transformed on the server. What The Information claims is Apple has found a way to process user data in such a way that it remains private throughout.
In decades old IT-lingo, this is called "de-intentifying the data". Again, nothing new that I can tell.
Maybe Apple's next big software announcement will be that they plan to use a new thing called software apps. LOL
Unless Subpoena’d by the government. Such liars
Artificial intelligence servers will use confidential computing’ techniques to process user data.
Teenagers use porno sites 90% of the time who knew.
The largest AI example is sitting in the OVAL OFFICE.
Biden is artificial & He has NO INTELLIGENCE
