It's not that Russia is better at building nice things.

It's that Russia is better at taking care of the nice things that it builds.

America also builds nice things. But then we must share it with the vibrancy.

Russian roads outside of Moscow/Petersburg show otherwise.

After the fall of the USSR, all public maintenance was deferred; they were broke.
But the energy and natural resources sectors advanced smartly.
And yet, Russia did not gain much if anything.

Over the past 30 years, China’s GDP has increased +600% and Russia’s GDP has remained mostly flat.

In the early 1990’s Russia was a world leader in many areas; schools, medicine, rocketry... those days are gone.
China now has a higher percentage of toilets than Russia.
There is a reason the Russian troops, given the chance are looting toilets and washing machines.
