A maniac ignited a cup of liquid and hurled it at a stranger on a Manhattan subway Saturday, setting fire to the man’s shirt and burning his chest and neck, cops said.
The terrifying episode is the second time in four months someone tossed flaming liquid at a straphanger — and authorities are investigating whether the same fire bug is to blame in both incidents.
The latest incident unfolded as the No. 1 train was pulling into the Houston Street station at West Houston and Varick Streets around 2:45 p.m.

so they’re maniacs now...
Speaking of setting fires.
I think one of the upcoming attacks on the USA will be domestic fires being set. All it takes is a few 100 of these 10 million that have invaded the US to set forest and other fires, more than our fire fighting units can fight.
If only 1 in 10,000 does this it can bring the US to a standstill. Bad odds.
i could have written this myself as i just finished it and it is terrifyingly possible...

I just finished reading The Attack, and it was terrifying. Without doing spoilers, the basic plot is that radical Muslim terrorists slip in over 10,000 trained jihadists, and an assortment of military grade weaponry.
They do this across the open border, where they are simply released into the county, with a court date many years in the future.
Then on Aug/27/2024 they launch a massive preplanned attack, in the style of the October 2023 invasion of Israel, with a twist or two.
The story is told by various survivors. It would have been easy for Schlicter to over-trope this, and make the story full of repentant Liberals, who wished they had been gun-owners, or who wish they had not put the party into power, which released the kraken, so to speak. But, this was not over done. Much of the book focused on the logistics of how The Attack was planned and carried out. Out of maybe twenty or so elements, I found nineteen to be easily believable, and very plausible, and likely. There was only one aspect that I thought, at first, might have been a bridge too far, and deemed it maybe 35%-40% believable. But, the more I thought about it, the more that I have come to believe that this element was in the 75%-80% range of possibility, and that is disturbing, in a big way. To avoid spoiling anything, I will not go into details, and the book is not dependent on that part actually happening, and it is not central to the theme. But frankly, I think this was the part that most scared me, and I feel certain that most people will pick up on it for themselves. I highly recommend this book, and it will make you do some thinking. This would make a heckuva movie or limited series!
Nope, SOS different day.
Don’t know why I read Mannix in the title.
Terrorists.
Another Rat voter.
Yes, a very plausible scenario for the attack. After seeing the pro-Hamas protests here, I think I see what part you’re getting at for the twentieth. The only quibble I had was the aftermath and response to the attack. I don’t know if we could do it.
well, we might just find out...
I knew the perp was a democrat cannibal by just reading the title (and the letters NYC).
I have NO sympathy for anyone who is attacked in a democrat hell hole city. Why does anyone want to live among zombies and cannibals?
If you are White, then you are the type that WILL be hunted. You are putting yourself in danger, every minute you dwell among those savage animals. GET OUT OF THE CITY! DO NOT WORK THERE! Move to a red state and live free.
The perp should be strapped to a plastic chair and set on fire.
There was a time when chronic mentally ill were placed and supervised in state hospitals. Like prisons today, there were well administered state hospitals and some not. What you didn’t have was mad hatters lighting people on fire and pushing folks onto subway tracks.
FERAL ANIMALS!
