A lady I worked with in Mountain View, Ca in 1990 said that she went thru Jr High and High School with The Beach Boys, said that they were real jerks after they started performing. Of course, she was a jerk herself, so I take that under advisement.

In the last BB movie, Murray (Brian’s father) was depicted as a real a-hole.

Never saw the Beach Boys though I had several chances. I was more of a purist/snob than maybe I should have been. I just wasn’t that interested if Brian wasn’t in the band I was seeing.

I do sort of regret my purist attitude at this point. I did get to meet Mike Love last fall. He was pleasant and accommodating.
