10 of history's evilest leaders:
1. Pol Pot: Leader of the Cambodian revolutionary group Khmer Rogue, Pol Pot was a communist totalitarian dictator who ordered mass genocide on his own people. His regime imprisoned, tortured and destroyed those who opposed it.
Prisoners were subjected to horrific medical experiments, which often resulted in agonizingly drawn out deaths. Many prisoners, including babies and small children, were executed in the infamous Killing Fields and buried in mass graves. To save bullets, they were killed with pickaxes or smashed against trees.
During his reign as Prime Minister from 1976-1979, his policies led to the deaths of around 2 million people, about 25% of the entire population, from execution, starvation, and forced labor.

Mao is ranked #6 & he too was truly evil.
Percentage wise he’s up there. Numbers-wise, he can’t compete with the all-time threesome: Hitler, Stalin, and Mao.
In my thread on Cambodia it was pointed out that Pot’s regime was still recognized as late as the 90s by the UN etc.
What’s the story there ? I never looked into it but thought it was strange.
The jury’s still out, I think.
I remember when South Vietnam and Cambodia fell to the commies. University students in California had candle light parades in favor of the commie takeover.
Then came the Killing Fields.
Wonderful movie .
…
The Japanese were pretty terrible to the Chinese in the ‘30s and ‘40s. They might have beaten the Cambodia numbers.
Pol Pot was truly evil but he didn’t affect as many people as Stalin, Hitler or Mao.
I think Mao was the worst.
Ask Chat GBT if those guys are worthy of Dignity and Respect.
He’s definitely in the conversation.
Nasty little goblin,
Mao, Hitler, Stalin.
Pol Pot, yes, is among them but had less population and people to kill.
"Mao was the son of a prosperous peasant in Shaoshan, Hunan. He supported Chinese nationalism and had an anti-imperialist outlook early in his life, and was particularly influenced by the events of the Xinhai Revolution of 1911 and the May Fourth Movement of 1919. He later adopted Marxism–Leninism while working at Peking University as a librarian."
Hồ Chí Minh (胡志明) was born as Nguyễn Sinh Cung (阮生恭)[3][e][4] in 1890 in the village of Làng Chùa or Hoàng Trù in Kim Liên commune, Nam Đàn district, Nghệ An province, in Central Vietnam which was then a French protectorate. Although 1890 is generally accepted as his birth year, at various times he used four other birth years:[13] 1891,[14] 1892,[j] 1894[k] and 1895.[15] He lived in his father Nguyễn Sinh Sắc's village of Làng Sen in Kim Liên until 1895 when his father sent him to Huế for study. .... His father was a Confucian scholar and teacher and later an imperial magistrate in the small remote district of Binh Khe (Qui Nhơn).
All of these guys came from middle class back grounds and were academics, or had exposure to university education. (Like Bill Ayers and John Kerry.)
“..Numbers-wise, he can’t compete with the all-time threesome: Hitler, Stalin, and Mao....”
Although not a “leader” in the classic sense, when it comes to numbers, Fauxi should be right up there on the list....
A disturbing exercise.
By “counting stats” - hard to see how Mao doesn’t top the leaderboard. China has just always had more people and Mao killed a LOT of them.
Maybe Stalin could challenge if you include people he didn’t specifically mark for execution, but would inevitably perish in the gulags + his incompetent military decisions in WW2.
But - “rate stats”? Yeah - Pol Pot just killed in a lower-target environment vs Mao.
So I guess it comes down to whether you make era and environment adjustments.... do the leftists revere a socialist who managed to rack up more kills, but did so in high-kill environment (then, I think it’s Mao). Or - do they use advanced metrics and credit proxies (then it might Stalin)? Or - do you just purely look at per capita murders (that probably does mean Pol Pot).
Marx is the most evil man in history ( so far) Hitler adopted Marx’s ideas, and turned them twoards race.
Marx
Why isn’t mohamed on the list? His followers have slaughtered hundreds of millions.
L
If we didn’t have our guns Obama would have made Pol Pot look like an amateur. Biden REALLY wants to kill half the country but Obama had the personal blood lust vs Biden ‘s ego. Both evil marxist bastards.
In terms of percentages, Pol Pot is the top genocidal person in modern history, having murdered one third of his countrymen. In terms of total body count, Islam easily wins with about 400 million murdered in South Asia over five centuries. That’s 0.4 billion for clarity.
NO Ideology killed more people in a shorter span then all forms of marxism.
