Indirectly, yes. The subsequent years of the war were pretty terrible in terms of famine. If you read Procopius, it’s pretty obvious that crops failed throughout Italy and that Vesuvius rumbled that year. Note that he’s quoted in the article you linked to saying: “For the sun gave forth its light without brightness, like the moon, during the whole year.”
