As for how he handled it at 6AM, I'm thinking these charges will be dropped before his court date on Tuesday. If not, Louisville must have all their other problems solved to go ahead w/ this.
Class act. Rooting for him to win his second major of the season.
Is there a better explanation out there than this post? What happened.

Five under par? Maybe he should arrange it where he gets arrested every morning he has a tournament!
If the report given by CBS is correct it was more than a misunderstanding.
“According to a police report, Scheffler was in an eastbound lane and pulled into the westbound lanes, where a uniformed detective was standing. The detective stopped Scheffler and attempted to give him instructions, but Scheffler “refused to comply and accelerated forward,” according to the report.
The detective, identified as Det. Gillis, was dragged “to the ground” and suffered “pain, swelling, and abrasions to his left wrist,” according to the report.
The detective was dressed in a high visibility reflective jacket when he stopped Scheffler’s car to give instructions, the arrest sheet said. Gillis was taken to the hospital for his injuries.
The Louisville Metro Police Department said in a statement that all lanes were closed during the traffic fatality investigation.”
High visable ubiform clothing, flashing lights, Traffic backed up for more than a mile, and he pulls into the opposite lane to enter a turn, a cop in the lane tries to stops him and makes contact with the officer then getting around the turn and approximately 30 to 40 feet down the entrance road to the club is going to be hard to explain.

During my first year living in the Deep South, out on some rural highway, I started to drive around a state patrol “license check” - never saw anything like that in Yankeeland, and had no idea what the heck was going on. I quickly got flagged down by a trooper, who was all business, but pretty much let me slide when he realized I really was totally confused by that operation (my distinct Northern accent probably helped in that regard). I of course don’t know the details of Scheffler’s incident, but I do have some degree of sympathy for him as to how it might have happened.
What I see today is Scheffler in a theree-way tie at -9 with Xander Schauffele at-12 in the number one position.
I’ve been listening to this a bit during the day. It sounds like the officer and police owe Scheffler a big apology. I’ve seen myself how cops can be over-the-top on the streets at accident scenes, tying everyone up unnecessarily, playing power games. My sympathies to Scheffler.
Let's check with the Louisville/Jefferson Metro Commonwealth's Attorney appointed by Gov. Besteal to see whether the charges should be dropped, or whether a few million dollars mandatory donation to DNC/BLM/Freezer Cash Fund will be required first.
Haven’t heard much about what actually happened but when I heard that golfboy was hit with four separate charges I decided to go ahead and conclude that the cop is one of those “authoritah” guys and all of the charges will eventually be dropped.
Some people think they’re more special than others.
It’s really very simple to be drug by a car, you have to be holding on to the car. Most cars made I. The last twenty five years don’t give you much to hold onto.
Care to explain officer ?
The thug cop should be fired
