I was born & raised here. I seem to remember something about this ‘John Doe’ having female clothing all around him, too. As if he was dressed as a girl as he disintegrated. ;)

‘The People’s Republic of Madistan’ has always welcomed all kinds of weirdos. *Rolleyes*

For a long time they thought it was a prank of some sort. Now that they know who he is, I wonder if they’ll be able to find out who killed him, or if he was robbing the building (I don’t think it was always a Music Store) and trying to come down the chimney to do it?

So many questions! ;)

This article was short of a key detail. When did he disappear?

Discovered in the chimney in 1989, after... 10 years? 20?

At least from the looks of it, he died of the flue.

I don’t think it was always a Music Store

Good'nLoud moved to the University Avenue location in 1989 and closed that location in 2010.

Before 1989 it had been the Bread Shop, a Christian bookstore.
