What a terrible thing to be a police officer with leftist leadership in these riots. I expect some type of Saint George Floyd event to happen to make them even more violent.

What “riot tactics” will the police use?
Seal off the small area of protests. It becomes like a roach motel. Roaches get in but they don’t come out. Fingerprints, IDs, cellphone contacts and jail time for any property damage and bills for any cleanup operation requirements.

Interesting, but I don’t care for what he describes as the official response tactics to TERRORISTIC - NOT ‘protesting’ - activities.
If the laws are not clear enough to stave off the lawsuits, they’ve had YEARS to correct them.
He describes “rinse/repeat”; that really pisses me off.

Stand down? Arrest no rioters? Arrest citizens who try to defend themselves? Pay out millions to rioters who claim their rights were violated?

Actually, everyone knows what SHOULD be done.
Problem is, far too many won’t do it, for a variety of reasons.
None of these plans is worth a bucket of warm spit if those arrested are out within a day. Arrest them and intern at some far place — a hundred miles off at least. Make their lawyers go find them. Do this for as long as the riots last.
Peaceful protest is fine. Damaging property, denying access, violence needs to result in weeks of sequestration.
Water cannons. I really like water cannons.
