I am not sure how I would have reacted in that situation.
it possibly would not have ended well for me.
But I guarantee that I would have been on the phone the police chief, the county sheriff, school board and my congress critter and there would be a huge shit storm before my child was permanently dis-enrolled from that school

maryland school systems are effed up.

Federal law has to make it clear, the schools do not have authority that exceeds the parents authority at any time for any reason.
I hope he sues the school and cop. He was entirely right, school has responsibility until the parent arrives and unless there is proven abuse, the parent rules. These damn school administrators and teachers think they own the child, they do not.
