I have lizards here called skinks. Some of them can get to be 8 inches long. Strange looking critters. They live in the gardens and are voracious fly and mosquito eaters. I leave them alone even if they get into my house. My wife freaks out about them, but we have very few flies.
I used to work in a place that had walls crawling with the skinks that have sort of ‘neon’ stripes. They were lovely.
