When my daughter was born in 2013 I encouraged the vaccines and ensured she got them all. Now “The Vax” has me rethinking that. Not sure I would do that again. However, her school required the vaccine schedule and we had to take extra because she was vaxed too soon.
She’s almost 11 and supposedly due for the next vaccine, HPV. I’ve decided she’s not going to get it, the requirement seems loony. Take the HPV in case she has sex before age 18, but after that time she doesn’t need it. Amazing.
That’s probably a good one. Too many idiots think it’s the school saying your daughter is gonna have sex. But if you wait till she’s active, it’s too late once that flower has been pollinated.
Risk is low, and it means you aren’t going to get cervical cancer later in life.
And ok, your daughter is a virgin and will save herself for marriage and only intends to be with her husband. That means nothing if her husband is not a virgin as well, or if he ever strays.
The HPV vax is basically an anti cancer vaccine and the reason yo have it done at age 12 is because you can’t predict her future behavior or the behavior of a future spouse. Or God forbid a sexual assault.
One of the hidden benefits is it also gets rid of warts. My youngest had a predisposition for warts and was always having to have them frozen off her hands and feet. After her HPV vax her most recent warts fell off and she never got them again.
