All of these... “variants” are Coronaviruses. All of them. WE now know completely how to prevent infection without so called vaccines predicated on S-Proteins of 3 years ago.
The prevention is known and well circulated, freely available. So— whoopee here comes yet another variant, each one less lethal than the last- which is the known evolution of all coronaviruses ever known to be all the way back to the so called Spanish influenza.

Environmental reality for any variant is that it needs the hosts to LIVE so the bug can spread. That is the way of all of these.
