Eventually, there will be some conflict somewhere that we get sucked into it, and Russia will be waiting with arms, intel, logistics, training... just like us in Ukraine, just like what they did to us in Korea and Vietnam and what we did to them in Afghanistan in the Cold War.
This is a chapter in history that was closed in 1991 (wise minds were in power then) and we are the ones that reopened that door in 2022. I'm sure we'll deny that too in the future. We are extremely talented at reinventing history to suit our needs of the day.

I’m not that worried about Russia per se. China is a much greater threat, IF it decides to lose its (by far) biggest customers. That seems somewhat unlikely, but can’t be ruled out.
General insecurity and the reaction to it is another matter. A well armed Europe (think Poland in a few years, X2) is, with time, very likely the most dangerous region on Earth.
