Bell's Palsy is commonly caused by trauma or a viral infection, with Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) type 1 and Varicella Zoster Virus (VZV) reactivation (shingles) thought to be the major culprits. Almost everyone has or gets those viruses eventually.

Bell’s Palsy, hmmmmmmmmmmm, I wonder how he got that?...................There are lots of causes. It's fairly common. No mystery to uncover here.

Bell’s Palsy, hmmmmmmmmmmm, I wonder how he got that?...................There is a possibility it is linked to the same virus that causes Chicken Pox and Shingles. I had it over a decade ago. I had Chicken Pox as a kid, and Shingles and Bell's Palsy as an adult. The Shingles case was very mild, as was the Bell's Palsy. Both within about a year of each other, with the Shingles coming first. Both also more than a decade ago.
