With the 2024 NFL Draft set to begin tonight at 8 p.m. ET from Detroit, here's my second and final attempt at projecting how Round 1 will play out.

I just wanted to post something related to start of the NFL Draft at 8 pm Eastern Time. This is the most hopeful day in sports as forlorn fans pray for a savior, especially at QB. One thing I do miss about the draft not being in New York is the fans of the two New York teams, and Phila fans booing choices they do not approve of. Caleb Williams is a -20,000 to be the first pick by Chicago; need to bet $20,000 to win one dollar. Las Vegas is indicating there is a 1 in 20,000 chance a video will be leaked of Caleb smoking pot in a gas mask.

If the Bears actually do draft Williams, I hope he at least turns out better than Justin Fields. There's a guy with a HUUUUUUUGE fan club in Chicago who insisted Fields was great; then the Bears traded him for a last-round pick NEXT YEAR, and suddenly it's Caleb this, Caleb that, who's Justin?

The first time Williams loses to the Packers, if he runs to the sideline to cry on mommy's shoulder, the count starts over again.

1- Giants won’t draft Naboers; too much off the field problems and they went through that with OBJ

2- Alt is not falling out of the top ten. Jets would draft Alt at 10

3- Broncos will try and trade down then draft Nix. Eagles & Steelers want to move up for a cornerback

4- KC needs a left tackles, Mims is solely a right tackle

5- Quinyon Mitchell is a top 20 pick. Not getting past Jacksonville

6- Leggette to the Pats at 32 makes complete sense- he’s not a first round prospect and the Pats have a history of over drafting WR’s which completely bust

Draftnick here. I look forward to it every year. I’m in the islands. I’ll be bar hopping’ in the at a tropics enjoying the festivities that will start at 2PM, not 8.

Does anyone see an illegal slave market here? No competition for the best prospects. No choice for those selected. The only thing missing is the chains.

Instant millionaires-so what? Curt Flood was a millionaire. It’s such a big anticipated activity no one dares comparing it to the need to drain the swamp.

Problem here is the draft was and is part of the CBA between the league and players union (NFLPA), as is the rookie salary cap.

I’m well aware of that. It’s the swamp. The real question: Why isn’t there some 18 year old not suing the league as well as the union over this? They’re boxed out. Colleges are a free minor league system and these young adults have a right to make a living.

Because 18YO’s are not allowed to play in the NFL- you have to be 3 years removed from HS in order to be draft eligible. Never mind the fact teams will not draft an 18YO...

*Never mind the fact teams will not draft an 18YO...*
That would be collusion-easy to prove.

Steve Spurrier: “Jadeveon Clowney could have started in the NFL right out of high school.

LOL. Right- because Steve Spurrier did such a great job during his brief stint in the NFL....never mind the fact from a physical maturity point of view teams don’t like drafting 19YO/20YO kids, never mind an 18YO....

You are funny. Attacking Spurrier sounds like what the leftists counter with when a different point of view is being made. With them it’s all they got.

Teams don’t like drafting 18 year olds? Doesn’t matter what one thinks. Can you give a legal defense for them being shut out?

Attacking Spurrier- how by pointing out the fact he was a horrible HC in the NFL???? How’d PAtrick Ramsey and Taylor Jacobs work out?? Though so....

You sound like a typical lib- when the facts are placed in front of you, you run to the ignorant insults...

Legal defense?? Yes- its called the CBA...

This is a teachable moment.
For starters please inform me where my ‘ignorant insults’ come out. I have 4 posts here.

*facts placed in front of me* Facts or opinions?

18 year-olds lacking maturity? I’m talking rights. it appears we’re talking past each other. Spurrier failed-ok. Patrick Ramsey/Taylor Jacobs-I’m not a student of history. Leftists say things to suggest they know more.

Jadaveon Clowney could have started in the NFL right out of high school. We can disagree on that one but if Spurrier said it then it doesn’t make him wrong. He knows more than both of us. Looks like I gotcha.

Caleb Williams will be one of the biggest busts in NFL history. Up there with JaMarcus Russell.

LOL- teachable moment?? Correct- for you....

“For starters please inform me where my ‘ignorant insults’ come out.”

here you go...”Attacking Spurrier sounds like what the leftists counter with when a different point of view is being made.”

“*facts placed in front of me* Facts or opinions?”

LOL- simple- you quoted Spurrier claiming Clowney could’ve started in the NFL right out of HS- that’s an opinion...

I pointed out Spurrier was a disaster who did not last two seasons in the NFL- that is a fact....

“18 year-olds lacking maturity? I’m talking rights. it appears we’re talking past each other.”

Again- its collectively bargained between the NFLPA and the league....you have no standing here.

“Looks like I gotcha.”

LOL- you’ve got nothing....you’re relying on a guy who was a disaster picking talent and developing talent for the NFL to make your case...its like listening to michael moore on nutritional advice...

LOL- teachable moment?? Correct- for you- but no one should get their hopes up...

You lose- again...Next.....

I’m gonna have to let you go. I’ll surrender-give you the last word.

Let me just say that my libertarian views extend to 18 year-old athletes like they did with Curt Flood and I’ll go to the mat with both of them.

As for our differences let me ask: This really bothers you doesn’t it?

Next.
