I noticed this almost 40 years ago in college when there was an animal rights protest and I asked one girl why she’s against killing mice but abortion is ok.

She looked totally flummoxed, she really obviously understood the logical conundrum. But a calm look came over her face and body posture and she said, “it’s a women’s right to chose” like a mantra.
