The Republican Accountability Project has purchased airtime on cable news outlets for an ad that rails against former President Donald Trump’s electability amid his 88 felony charges.

The ad launched on Monday as part of a six-figure ad from an ongoing $50 million campaign, which is designed to bring to light Donald Trump’s 88 felony charges.

Here’s the deal:

These supposed “Republicans” are not what they claim. It isn’t about accountability. It isn’t about doing what’s right. It isn’t about protecting anything.

If they were concerned about a Trump Presidency, they would have actively worked against him in the primary. They didn’t.

If they were truly concerned with accountability, they would have been working for the last 3 years to air out their claims.

But no - they wait until Trump is the “presumed Republican candidate”, and THEN go after him. All they are doing is attempting to bolster the Biden campaign.

Biden has literally nothing to run on. He has wrecked the US economy. He has pushed the depravity and immorality so far, even many relatively liberal in our nation are questioning the trajectory.

He has the Pro-Islamists (many of which are his traditional voting bloc) mad at him for his support of Israel.

He has many pro-Israel folks mad because he keeps trying to interfere with Israel’s right to defend itself.

He has us embroiled in a proxy war in Ukraine that has folks bent over that as well (and his handling of it).

And we won’t even dig in to the double-digit inflation that has far out-paced wages in nearly every sector -but especially the lower and middle classes. You know - those he supposedly is the champion of...

He has NOTHING of value to run on - except pushing queer ideology - and that is FAR from the majority of voters.

So... They must attack Trump. But can’t use economic claims - as most even on the Left actually know Trump was 1000X better on economic matters.

Can’t use foreign policy - as the world was far more peaceful under Trump (even before COVID) - historic agreements and treaties between Islamic nations and Israel... No additional Putin invasion of Ukraine. Less terrorism in Israel from the Palestinians, Little Kim of NK was shut down. Iran was relatively quiet. Afghanistan was fairly gracefully winding down... All of which Biden totally threw out the window - and yes, even many on the Left recognize that (even if they don’t admit it).

So - throw as much mud and dirt onto Trump as they possibly can - whether it is to see criminal charges pressed to try to disqualify him, or to simply associate him with said “felonies” without ever actually proving they were his...

If that were true - then why did Fox REJECT the Trump ad that laid out the FACTS and truth about the border?

Until a couple of days ago, I thought that the Direction of the Country polling and the strong third party vote as a indicator of discontent, would inevitably lead to a Trump win.

But the DC Repubs are doing everything to demoralize their own base voters.

Trump has stupidly endorsed Johnson again, but most people don’t know about that, or care.

People just know that they sent more tens of billions to Ukraine, and that illegals are still pouring into their communities.

“88”? I didn’t even know that. The ad will only accomplish one of two things:
1) Excite stupid people who weren’t going to vote for him, anyway.
2) Underscore to intelligent people how utterly corrupt the left /Dem party is through the use of lawfare.

I think Trump’s indictments could be used to emphasize that Donald Trump is not a “business as usual” candidate. The lawless thugs show us who they’re afraid of. And to a nation watching criminals be set free to kill/rape again, etc, that could work for Trump really well.

Then again, I’m not a normie and don’t even know how normies think so maybe I’m all washed up..

Unfortunately, the USA no longer has a majority of intelligent or even well informed people. Too many, who are intelligent, but uninformed believe that Trump really is a criminal. Unintelligent and uninformed people are even easier to sway.

I wish that Trump would stop just saying …. crooked Joe Biden is corrupt…. and start listing specifics of Biden’s corruptions every time Trump gets the microphone.

It’s time for another massive ratings decline until the Murdochs understand they can get away with the garbage being aired against a candidate most of its viewers support.

I’m very optimistic.

I don’t think the Dems would be acting like desperate tyrants if they were confident in their election rigging.

With 90% of everything against us, MAGA won the House, President Trump is under even money to win and the GOP are 1/3 betting faves to win the Senate.

And all those opining about this are ignoring the Biden’s family over 188 felonies they have committed.

fwiw the betting odds have largely not moved since the CO ballot ban. Pick’em has attracted a lot of two way action-the lack of movement is not out of apathy.

The tyranny may not be helping any longer but it’s not helping the Dems at this point.

I wonder if the funders of the ad are aware that there is a difference between the words "charges" and "convictions?"

In the United States people are considered to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Perhaps they should take a time out to reflect on what they are saying about themselves. Are they criminal or disgraceful?

There was an AP article in the paper the other day about Trump’s trial. Said it should be a slam dunk because of the mountain of FACTS of evidence and the FAVORABLE jury.

Such ads don’t change anything.

The portion of our electorate that actually sees these ads is probably fairly low in the first place.

Most Americans seem to be quite aware of the BS nature of all the charges against him. Pushing this nonsense is not going to make any visible impact.

The polar opposite is occurring with many common Americans sympathizing with his plight and can see the BS charges from a mile away. These people usually would not vote for (R) for any reason, but this year that is not a truism any longer.

Empathy for these nonsensical persecutions is not an imagined reality.
