Be careful. FreeRepublic is filled with dog nutters who think their animal’s feces are magical chocolate gumdrops and its urine is golden elixir from heaven. Every public space, from airplanes to parks to restaurants, must be given over because “dOgs aRe BettEr thaN PeoPLe.”

Dogs are not better than people. They are just better than you.
Maybe some dogs ARE better than some people. I don’t want to say. As a former dog owner, I love dogs generally & certainly miss the last one I had. Admittedly, there are also problems with having dogs as well, like cleaning up after them. If you choose to work in certain facilities, you will learn to clean up after people, too. There are just certain responsibilities one must bear if they are an owner of a pet. Most people will bear those responsibilities if they love their pets.
