Can you remember visiting a buffet when you were young? It represented a vast stretch of freedom to load up your plate with whatever you wanted. When you're an adult, though, you start asking questions. Are you eating your money's worth? Did that kid really just stick his fingers in the mashed potatoes? Why is everything so sticky?
There's a good chance it's been a while since you've been to a buffet, and suspiciously sticky utensils aren't the only reason. So many people are skipping buffets that this sector of the industry is declining — more than you might think.

Governor Cresote?
Chris Krispy Kreme?
It's spread around the world, you used to never see porkers in Europe, that's changing.
No, he didn’t.
He left it to each governor.
He stopped people from coming in, implemented accelerated protocols to purchase protective gear and equipment, and quarantined foreigners who arrived.
He recommended that people stay inside, based on what the advisors were telling him.
Don’t repeat leftist lies.
I liked the dessert and salad bars at the Ponderosa when I was a kid, lol.
The ability, or lack thereof, to use correct grammar always amazed me.
I love a good Indian buffet.
There are lots of fat white people out there. Obesity doesn't discriminate.
Trump left it up to the state governors, which is how the constitution works. Did you want him to rule like Obama?
Five Democratic Party Governors forced infected covid patients in with the vulnerable relatives. As Pennsylvania’s Health Secretary, Richard Levine (now employed by the Biden administration under the name of “Rachel”) moved his mother out of a facility before executing governor Wolff’s order.
Albert is DU tRoLL
When I was a starving college student at the U of A, there was a Chinese buffet down the street from where I lived. We would go there around closing time and they would let us take home as much leftovers as we wanted.
Most of the cafeteria chains have bitten the dust, as well. Luby’s has a few locations left that haven’t closed, but it’s been all downhill since they hired a new chief executive, he looked at the books for a few weeks, got a motel room, and killed himself. (If I remember all the details from a quarter of a century or so ago.)
Piccadilly is down to less than 30 locations, and it looks like there is one Morrison’s left (which is owned by Piccadilly - looks like a trademark preservation exercise). That’s down from 270 or so locations. (At its peak, Morrisons had over 150 locations.
S&W is long dead. Davis Brothers is as well, although the Big Chicken lives.
It is not but the all you can eat Brazilian steakhouses are the only all you can eat I’m interested in anymore, especially now that I’ve learned to not eat until I’m sick
“Have you heard any apologize for putting Dem scarf lady and Dr Evil in charge .”
I have not. As much as I like Trump and pray (without ceasing) for him to win, I do think he needs to address the Birx / Fauci / vaccine subject. Explanation. Apology. Something.
We still have one of the last Ponderosa Steakhouses and buffet salad bars by reasonably near us. Costs more that 1980s of course but great.
Most of the national hotel chains still have breakfast buffets.
He panicked and shut down the Federal Government.
And you think the governors of any state with a population wasn’t going to follow suit?
I remember that week well. He came out on Thursday and Friday and said it wasn’t anything but the flu. On Monday, he came out and shut it down. He looked like he had seen a ghost. I always wondered who got to him over that weekend.
He did not do the country any favors that Spring or Summer.
We don’t stay at hotels often but always stay where they provide a hot breakfast buffet.
